Indian leopard injures six in Bangalore school
|
#Wildlife A male leopard which entered a school in the Indian city of Bangalore injured six people trying to capture it.
A scientist and a forestry employee were among those mauled during the near 10-hour long effort to corner the dangerous animal on Sunday.
The leopard, which strolled into the Vibgyor International school, was eventually tranquillised and released.

Wild elephant rampages through India town

KOLKATA, India -- A wild elephant rampaged through an east Indian town on Wednesday, smashing homes and sending panicked residents running.
As the frightened elephant ran amok, trampling parked cars and motorbikes, crowds of people gathered to watch from balconies and roof tops. Some followed from a distance as the elephant moved through the streets.

Thirsty India leopard gets head stuck in pot

Local people told reporters that the animal appeared to have been foraging for water, and then got its head stuck inside the vessel. The confused and frightened animal wandered around the village as residents took pictures and videos. Japan tourist at Taj Mahal 'dies after fall'
|
A Japanese tourist has died after allegedly slipping down the stairs at India's #TajMahal monument.
Eyewitness Sagar Singh told BBC Hindi that the tourist fell while taking a selfie at the Taj Mahal's Royal Gate.
Police said he lost consciousness immediately after the fall and succumbed to head injuries in hospital.

Air India to ground 'fat' cabin crew
