India leads day of 'One Billion Rising' for women
— Indians were at the forefront of global protests on Thursday in the One Billion Rising campaign for women's rights, galvanised by the recent fatal gang rape that shocked the country.
Flashmobs, marches, singing and dances were planned in about 200 countries as part of the campaign's day of action.

These 40 students were selected from 300 semifinalists and more than 1,700 entrants to compete in Washington, DC from March 7-13 for $630,000 in awards, with the top winner receiving $100,000 from the Intel Foundation.

Fourteen trains are running late due to bad weather, a northern Railway spokesperson said.

But the court advised Mr Nandy to be more cautious when speaking.

The first written evidence of the Kumbh Melas in India can be found in the accounts of the Chinese traveller Hiuen Tsang (602 – 664 CE), who visited India between 629 – 645 CE, during the reign of King Harshavardhan. CHENNAI: A 64-year-old woman was bitten by a rat in an AC III-tier coach of the Coimbatore-Chennai Cheran Express at Arakkonam station early on Tuesday. As the train was moving, irate passengers pulled the chain and stopped it. A doctor who was on duty at the station gave an injection to prevent infection and administered first aid.

More than a century after it went missing, the fossil of what has been regarded as India's first recorded dinosaur has been rediscovered in Kolkata, according to a top scientific journal.The missing dinosaur, untraceable for nearly a century, was finally found at the GSI headquarters in Kolkata.
The fossil was originally discovered by WH Sleeman in the Jabalpur area of central India in 1828
